How to Get the Most out of Your Horse Supplement
Fast Facts
Measure Me
When dealing with quantities as minute as one ounce, mismeasurement can quickly result in too little or too much being fed. The heaping scoop shown in this illustration contains almost 25% more than the daily recommended amount.
When the directions state “Feed one scoop per day,” a level scoop is the correct measurement.
Giving horses a heaping scoop will do nothing to help your horse and will only add further expense to your feeding program. Likewise, when too little is offered, the horse might not reap the full benefits of a given supplement.
