Fall and spring pastures can be dangerous for sugar-sensitive horses. Temperature and sunlight affect the amount of sugar stored in grass. For sugar-sensitive horses it is best to limit grazing time or stop it completely when daytime temperatures are warm and nights are below 40° F.
