Does Your Horse Have a Song?
Hey, I hope everybody is doing well and I also hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was fantastic. I was able to give the ponies the weekend off and spend time with family and friends at the lake.
I thought this week would be a great time to get some reader participation and I’m hopeful that I get some interesting feedback from you all.
One of the things that I love most about my horses is that they all have strikingly different personalities. For example, the love of my life is a handsome gray Thoroughbred named I’ve Got the Rhythm. He could best be described as the preppy, all-American, over-achieving stud—no pun intended. He knew he was the boss of the field and had no problem letting everyone who came into his vicinity know it also. Wherever Rhythm went, he thought he owned the place.
Hoosier Daddy could best be described as the extremely buff jock who, while excelling on the playing field, also kept up a 4.0 in the classroom.
You may be asking yourself, What does Megan’s description of her horses’ personalities have to do with reader participation? The answer is simple (and maybe a little strange), but I have a feeling that I’m not alone in my strangeness. What I do is pick out songs for my horses that happen to describe their particular characteristics. Rhythm’s songs are “Run Me in the Dirt,” by Joseph Flythe and “Shake up the World” by Stevie Butler.
Hoosier’s song is “The Fighter,” by Gym Class Heroes. Hoosier has had several issues he’s had to overcome the last few months, but no matter the issues he always tries his hardest and comes back fighting. I finally found a song that fits him!
I’m eager to find out if other people out there do the same as me, and if you all haven’t done this before I would love to hear what song you would choose as a soundtrack for your horse.

One horse named Tigger at the barn is very sensitive and high strung so his perfect song is Mr. Sensitive by David Cook. Tigger responds to the lightest touch and smallest cues. He also is one of the most outgoing horses in the barn.
My horses name is Chanel. She is about 15h and is 3/4 Swedish warmblood,1/4 Morgan. She is beautiful with a natural bold liver chestnut glow about her. She walks around like she is the most popular horse in the barn…with the total hip and butt walk to her. All the geldings and stallions totally trace her with their eyes. They whinny, and nicker to get her attention…and she kinda gives them the I’m too good for you look, but she is such a lovey, never moody, always cuddly, and warm hearted. This is why i think her song should be “ANGEL EYES” because she has her sweet, cuddly side…and by the way she is a fantastic 5 foot jumper, and her neck is just….amazing when she rounds for dressage. My horse, BEN, is a stunning, 16 hand, 11 year old bay Anglo Arab; the hottest of the hot! He was a miraculous slaughter rescue out of central California. I put him in dressage at the age of 10 and loves it. He will do anything I ask of him, LOVES the trails and we live in some tough terrain in the foothills/mountains of Arizona. His nickname is Hollywood because he loves to have his picture taken, will literally pose for it. His theme song is, of course, Benny and the Jets by Elton John…
My daughter rides a mare named Legs who is usually very sweet but gets nippy when she is being tacked. She managed to grab both my daughter and her friend in the back at a show a few weeks ago so her current theme song is “Love Bites (And So Do I)” by Halestorm.
The theme song of the Sunny, the mare I ride, would have to be Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO. During lessons she caan be lazy about the canter and fall on her front end but as soon as we get in the showring she realizes people are watching her and becomes the perfect show horse. Her canter becomes perfect and she’ll support her front end because she wants to show off. Even at small schooling shows she’ll act fancy because she thinks everyone is watching her. Sunny is sexy and she knows it so that is why Sexy and I Know It is her song and also what makes her such an amazing mare. Thanks for hosting this contest! 🙂

My horse Simply, is a chestnut Dutch Warmblood mare. The song that would most likely describe her is probably Moves Like Jagger, because she is very spunky!
I own a 3/8 TB pony (related to a famous eventing pony) and whenever I think of him the song in my head is “Shannon” by Henry Gross (http://henrygross.com/s_lyrics.htm). You see, I sent him to a trainer named Shannon who was doing quite well with him. A few months ago late at night I got a phone call asking me to describe my tack and equipment because Shannon died suddenly and my pony was being sent home. Maybe as time goes on we will have a different theme song, but for now when I hear that song all I can think about is Shannon and my pony and Teddy.
Our horse Maggie is a 15 hand percheron cross. She is very stunning and she knows it and when she’s jousting and in the public she makes sure everyone sees and worships her. Her current song is “I’m sexy and I know it”
My thoroughbred Gelding Opportunity To Run plays it cool.. His song would be “Sexy and I know It” by LMFAO
My daughters pony is hero. He was in a bad trailer accident before we got him but has been the greatest pony. He Has taught her to ride and took care of her along the way as well at shows. his song would have to be my hero by foo fighters
My retired show horse is a big boned appendix crossed Morgan. He is a beautiful horse to everybody that sees him and I’d agree but he is the biggest chicken. Lol. Has to have a confident rider to get him cross country or show jumping and you better ride strong. Lol. I can see his brain just a working when we rode through these things like are you sure mom are you sure lol. I’d have to say stronger by kayne is his song. That that don’t kill me can only make me stronger I need you to hurry up now cause I can’t wait much longer.
My new guy is a buckskin paint with not much white except on his belly. He is stocky bred cow horse type and about maybe 15.2 h. I look at him and others do including trainer and saddle fitter and husband etc and don’t think much but ahhh he’s cute. Then we ride. He is being trained in dressage and he is soooo sane and easy going try’s really hard but the funniest thing is when he goes he thinks he’s a mini warmblood lol. So much suspension and booty shaking lol. Nobody believes how great he goes lol. So for this reason I will say his song is This is why I’m hot lol.
My little sister’s 11.1hh pony, Jimmy, is a naughty, forever green pony with an uncontrollable mane. His song is “Get a Haircut” by George Thorogood. 🙂 suits him perfectly.
I have a 7 year old AQHA palomino that thinks she is a DIVA with a capital D! Therefore, I believe her theme song would be “Sexy and I know it”.
As Rhythm’s step mom I think that song is perfect!!!! I wouldn’t change it. But this weekend he was such a go getter. I felt like every time we left the stall the Rocky theme song played. he was all business and so excited to eat up the competition!!! what a good boy 🙂 Ps. we miss you, hugs and horse kiss your way!!
My hot-headed OTTB thoroughbred could be best described by the song, “Le Freak (Freak Out),” by the 1970s band Chic. He is the quietest, gentlest horse, until suddenly something, whether a plastic bag, a murderous shadowy figure unseen by anyone else or someone’s spooky laugh startles him, and off he goes! He quite literally “Freaks Out!” at the most random times and for the most unexplainable reasons. He turns a complete 180 on me causing me to nearly fall off each and every time looking especially foolish as my horse is the only causing a scene. 🙂

My horse is a 5 year old TB draft cross! He’s such a solid citizen, giving lunge line lessons to a 3 year old by night and eventing training level with me by day! His theme song is “Born To Fly” By Sara Evans. He’s only been under saddle for year but he’s already doing such great things with his life its very fitting, he’s born to fly! 🙂
Reggie is a 17yo morgan mare…I had never thought about the life or job of a mare before hearing this song…it brings lil tears to my eyes, when I hear it and think of Reggie….the song that best fits and describes her is…MARES, By Maryann Kennedy
I got my TB when he was 7yo and he’d already passed through 7 owners. We don’t know exactly what he went through before we got him but he was a total nervous nelly and literally scared of his own shadow… that’s how he earned his name: Boo. He’s now 15yo and has become a great horse for the most part but has always retained the loose screws when it comes to jumping. His form is superb when jumping but you have to convince him he’s brave enough to get over it which makes his “Maniac” from Flash Dance his perfect song. Think “[he’s] a maniac, maniac [in the ring]” 😉
My first horse was a striking chromed up blood bay TWH who paced and trantered, minus any regular-beated gaits. As disappointed as my trainer was in my choice of this horse, I totally fell in love with him and kept riding until I was able to figure him out, even when she told me to get something else. Eventually he did trot and canter (sort of) and boy did that sucker like to jump. We did a little jumpers, I did my little kid junior eq’s on him, some 4-H, and my first event (he is STILL the best xc ride I’ve ever had :D). He was fabulous–big brave heart, loving and super gentle to kids and beginner riders (my high school boyfriend rode him on a long trail ride where he broke into a gentle “canter” but came back in hand easily for the poor guy, lol). Our song is “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly, because we totally did, even though that horse shouldn’t have been able to, and many judges and my trainer told me to give up a million times. Cheers to my first love, big red Fred (28 years young)!!
My OTTB’s name is Under Pressure… So (of course) his theme song is Queen’s Under Pressure:) I can’t help but sing I’m Still Standing when I get off though
I have an arabian mare who is very sweet and loves people but is fast fast fast! All she wants to do is run and be a free spirit. She loves trail riding and jumping 🙂 She has your typical high spirited arabian personality but acts like a big sweet dog on the ground. Her song is “Run” by Benton Paul because it’s upbeat and the lyrics are a good fit for describing our relationship and how she loves to run. The beat of the song also goes with the pace of her canter.
My crazy Paso Fino “Alex” thinks he is all that. “I’m Sexy and I Know It” suits him to a “T”. He is such a ham at shows and is everyone’s favorite to watch as well as ride. He even recognizes his name over the p.a and struts even more when he hears it.
The song my OTTB mare and I would have is Sarah McLachlan – Angel. She came to me after some great suffering, abuse and neglect and I truly believe that she may have died had I not picked her up and nursed her back to health. She is happy and healthy now and has a forever home with us. We love her very much. I thank God for having given me to opportunity to help her and rescue her.

My horse’s name was Dr Pepper. I had her for 29 years. She was NEVER sick or sorry. As she got older, and her time became short, I really began to love ‘Long may you run’ by Neil Young. I am tearing up thinking about it. Great song. Great horse.
I have a few horses, but the only one who I could put a song to is my three year old trakehner gelding, WilLea. He is so laid back and alway happy. He reminds me of Bobby McFarrin’s Don’t Worry, Be Happy!
My CCI** horse, Sir Edgar has a song. It is Proud Mary by CCR. I have it playing in my head on cross country to keep a rhythm and maintain the pace.
My Kegan is 15’3, an Irish sport horse and has the personality of a play boy. He must keep a calendar because he knows exactly when the mares are in season and during that time he is running up and down the fence line screaming at them, always trying to walk on the wrong side of me to say hello to one of them, and he always (24/7) carries hi head up as high as he can and always walk around as if to say ‘Yay I know I’m good but tell me it again’. And honestly all the mares in the barn love him… Why i will mever know.so I decided that the most fitting theme song for him was I’m Sexy and I know it by LMFAO
I have a little red Arabian who thinks he has EVERYTHING going on, until something freaks him out. 🙂 He’s 23 now, so he’s slowing down a bit, but if I had to pick one song for him and his personality it would be “Bad To The Bone”. He has a very mischevious personality and tries to push boundaries every single day. Don’t tell him I said this, but he’s a good boy and I love him. I hope we have another 20 years together!
I have two mares; the first is an Anglo-Arab with one eye, who is intelligent, somewhat of a snob, a tomboy, and a taker of no nonsense. Why bother with dressage when we can gallop around and jump cross country obstacles?
She is beautiful, yet hardcore, so I feel the song “Breath of Life” by Florence + the Machine fits her well.
My second mare is an Appendix/Arab, and relatively unexperienced. While she is a drama queen just as much as my other mare, she is less imperious, always wants to be involved in what I’m doing, and has a “lemme-at-’em” aspect to her personality. (She IS a redhead.)
The piece “Forbidden Friendship” from the “How to Train Your Dragon” soundtrack fits both her and our relationship perfectly.
I feel free like Im “dancing in the moonlight” on my mare Luna. All my troubles and aches and pains just wash away. Shes truly an amazing partner that lifts me up with her big warm eyes long lashes soft muzzle and sweet nicker. Its Dancing in the moonlight by King Harvest. My horse’s name is Maurice. Hence his theme song is “The Joker” by Steve Miller. He’s a 16 hand black and white overo Paint with one blue eye. He is also quite the Joker and gets his lovin on the run. He is a loverboy. I outride at Rolex every year with him and loves being petted by all the kids.

Yeah, that’s him in a nutshell. I sing the song sometimes when I’m riding him. Maurice events and foxhunts. He loves foxhunting. He was born on our farm so we have had him since he was a baby. He’s always been extremely friendly. He also likes to drink beer out of a bottle.
My OTTB is Phil, I rescued him after he broke his front leg in a race. After some well needed time off he is now eventing Beginner Novice! His song is ‘I’m a Survivor’ I love him so much!
I have the rock station on the radio in the barn and sometimes when I go out there one of my geldings, a light bay (with ‘eyeliner’) Thoroughbred Eventer will be dancing to Joan Jett and when he sees me he stops and looks at me like, “Me? Dancing. You must be blind. I don’t dance.”
I have a 13 year old Regestered Oldenberg Gelding, that if I had to put a song to him it is Im sexy and I know it by the artist LMFAO, same song used in the M&M commercial this year. He is fine if he thinks no one is watching but as soon as someone appears he gets this swagger walk like yep look at me im sexy, oh wait watch this move. He is just so funny and full of charecture he is also so playful will take water in his mouth and while you are picking his feet dump it on your back, or pull up your shirt to lick you. He walks in the pasture holding your shirt as to not get to far away. Mind you he is 17.2hh 1800lbs chestnut. Love him
My daughter’s very round and extremely thick quarter horse is built like a hippo. He has a rain gutter down his back and bum. He is fit, but so round. So his theme song is the Moto Moto song off of Madagascar 2….I like em big, I like em chunky….
I show a HOT HOT HOT little National Show Horse mare named CF Hot Diggity — we show saddleseat, and she LOVES to show off her “chrome” — four white legs, up over her knees and hocks.Her song is definitely “Legs,” by ZZ Top — She’s got legs, she knows how to use them!! The song is about a sassy, gorgeous, confident chick, and that suits “Sadie” to a T!
My guy Will’s theme song is “Little Willly”. (to quote, or at least paraphrase–“Little Willy Willy won’t go home, well you can’t push Willy round, Willy won’t go). This is because he loads fine at home but can sometimes not want to load to go home. Ha ha, he likes being out and about!
I just retired a “hard luck” horse. He was a wonderful 9yo OTTB, but was diagnosed with a bone cyst last fall, and was accident prone. His song was “Keep on dreaming even if it breaks your heart” by the Eli Young Band. I also have a TB stallion who’s song is “Red Solo Cup”, by Toby Keith. If I get a chestnut colt, guess what I am going to name it?!
My mare, Part The Crowd, has two songs. She’s is a bit of an arrogant little (only 14.3) thing and she’s never met a fence she couldn’t jump – preferably at warp factor 12 while leaving out a stride in every line. “Remember The Name” by Fort Minor and “If I Could Fly” by Joe Satriani are her songs. One for those times when you just need to grit your teeth and get over the fence, the other for those times when her invisible wings are most in evidence.
My daughter’s Arab gelding LOVES “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi.
We used it a few times in a Liberty class, and he absolutely performed in synch with it!
My horse is a 16.3 hand warmblood cross I got as a 3 yr old with a terrible mounting issue. His song is “Say a Little Prayer for me”!!!!
My horse and I “share” a song. Shortly after I bought him, I had to have a stem cell transplant for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was away from him for 9 months, due to the fact that my immune system couldn’t handle challenges in a barn – and I had no strength. He was young, and lacked trust in people due to the fact that someone shot him in the neck as a yearling, and his owners at the time couldn’t or didn’t take care of the wound. Others had to cut the halter off (his skin had grown around it) and clean maggots out of the wound – I didn’t know him then (sorry for gross description.) However, he stopped eating when I went to the hospital – he existed on hand-fed carrots from my good friends. Now, I am 14 years cancer free, and he has learned to trust people through me – I can ride him with around in just a halter. So, our song – “Looks Like We Made It” by Shania Twain.
My horse is a 8 year old homebred, named Zack. When I bred his mom, I really wanted a dark type filly with no white. Out came this chestnut colt with a wide blaze and 3 white socks. I immediately thought ‘Guess he’s a sale’s project’. But 8 years later, he’s still with me and turning out to be an awesome partner, even with are many ups and downs. Our song would be Paula Abdul’s ‘Opposites attract’. We are opposite in so many ways, but it really ‘works’ for us. I’ve learned so much with him, especially on compromise.

My draft cross’s there song is Pink’s Perfect. I sang it to him (badly) when he was green because it had a lot of energy to psych him up.
I’ve had my 15.2, 10 year old OTTB mare for almost 3 years now, and her song is definitely “Firecracker” by Josh Turner. Her name is Caramba, which means something along the lines of “Oh crap!” in Spanish (very fitting 😉 ). She’s dark bay and her “soft points” turn from red to golden in the winter. She’s fiery and flighty, but boy can she jump! She is super athletic, catlike, and handy (we just showed in a western contesting show and kicked butt in barrel racing and pole bending). She pretends not to like people, but she watches me like a hawk whenever I’m around. We are currently at Prelim right now, but I’m hoping to move up to Intermediate next year. She is all muscle, and having that much power is just a blast to ride. Here are some lyrics from her song 🙂

I have a Quarter Horse Percheron mare, she has an attitude but she is most known for her extremely large appetite. At the beginning of the year she resembled a hippo. Everyone started calling her Chloepotamus. So her song is “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” because I only like hippopotamuses and hippopotamuses like me too! My thoroughbred, we are still searching for his song!

Skip is a 17h Percheron QH cross that was a PMU foal. Now we event, but he’s also been a trail and pack horse. He is basically a huge chicken dressed in a horse costume, but has always believed me that he could do anything I asked him. One time cantering by my instructor, she just starting singing “I feel the earth move under my feet” by Carole King. Very appropriate! Especially when he has a freeze brand of a VH on his shoulder that we say means VERY HEAVY.
My horse; al masree najm ( the egyptian star) is my own little black stallion! (acts like it even though he’s a gelding!) he is a 6 y/o straight egyptian, and super star endurance horse. His song is “work hard, play hard” when he’s riding he’s so focused and kicks butt, but at play time he
S so silly and runs a muck!
My horse is a 17 h chestnut thoroughbred. He always tries his hardest and after he has done something he is obviously very proud of himself and gets extremely cocky. He is smart, maybe a little too smart, that sometimes gets him in trouble. His theme song isn’t really song. It’s lyrics that Homer sings on The Simpsons. “I am so smart. S-M-R-T”

I have a nearly black, extremely cocky and handsome 17h 6yo OTTB aptly named Guinness. I’m not just saying this because I’m his mother, and I’m biased…he hears it everywhere he goes.. His song, which I can’t believe I’m admitting, is Boyfriend…yes, a Justin Bieber song! HA! Reasoning? Well, sometimes during training rides, I sing it to him and he takes to it decently well (or its my extra soothing singing voice…but doubtful! ;],,) In addition to that, I have been happily single for 3 years and when people ask me why, I tell them I have no time for a boyfriend anyways (all my free time is spent with my horse), and THUS, Guinness is basically my Boyfriend. HAHA!

The achievement of a life-long dream to own and learn to ride a horse resulted in my purchase of a 5 year old, 14.2 hand paint quarter pony cross in the fall of 2008. I named him “Me and Bobby McGee” (Bobby). The journey involved in building a bond with your first horse has been a supremely impactful experience for me. I’d only been riding one year when I bought him. He had only been under saddle for about the same length of time. We were/still are sometimes (!) “green” together and I say to everyone, it’s a match blessed by Heaven 🙂 He tolerated my uptight worrying at times, and I tolerate his ornery playful spirit at times. We love each other and learn from each other.
My horse is Loper, a spunky paint arab mix whom I bought from a hunter farm where there was no turnout and he was mostly in a stall dreaming about the possibility of a free future outside that stall. I took him and gave him the greenest running huge field imaginable and he has been the most incredible xc horse, funny, and silly banana loving pony I have ever met. He has slight mechevious look but his dreams came true.

I have a 5 y/o OTTB named Lilly. She is a quirky, silly girl who loves to get into trouble. She definitely has a wild streak, especially under saddle. Her theme song is ‘She’s a Wild One (with an Angel’s Face)’ by Faith Hill. It fits her personality perfectly. She can definitely be a opinionated little wild thing that says I’m not doing anything you want me to do!
I wasn’t looking for a horse when my TB Hero came into my life, so let’s just say he found me. A rather sanguine fellow, Hero won me over despite my resolve to politely decline taking on another horse. I am now quite attached to this adorable dappled bay gelding. I still can’t believe he wriggled his way into my heart, so our theme song can only be “Highway To the Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins.
Though he’s not mine, I’ve ridden Harley for a while and discovered that he is way smarter than he lets on, and enjoys protesting the indignity of having a rider on his back who makes the occasional (or those often-made) learner’s mistakes. He demonstrates his displeasure with a hearty buck and sometimes, if he’s really annoyed, he’ll give a nice squeal too. You know you had a good ride if you make it through without a buck. I decided long ago that Harley’s theme song is “Get Off of My Back” by Brian Adams from the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron soundtrack.
My horse is a 16.3h Percheron TB cross named Sir Galihad. We do the jumpers together. His song would have to be Eye of the Tiger, becuase when we start jumping you can almost feel his chest swell and he overjumps everything by at least a foot!
My quarter horse Rudy’s theme song would be “Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy” He is quite laid back and loves hanging out in the pasture with his buddies.
My Pony Ruby is a fireball that keeps on going. She never ceases to amaze me, she has so much personality. Her song it God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton because I always know that I will have her and that what ever I go through, she will be there for me!
It HAS to be “jump” by Flo Rida.. “when I say jump you say how high” he is a 12 yo Oldenburg and he really puts up with dressage to get to the fun part. He is famous for fooling riders into thinking he knows nothing about dressage.. Anytime I have someone ride him I have to warn them.. He actually does know more than he lets on.. Lol
I have a 14.2 hand Connemara/TB pony mare that I compete Preliminary and Intermediate. She is the most hard core, opinionated and bitchy, but loving and competitive horse I’ve ever ridden. If I’m unsure, she knows what to do and saves my butt. Her mood swings are so unpredictable, she lives on regumate to attempt to regulate them =P. Her theme song is “I’m a Bitch” by Meredith Brooks.

My boy is a 15 yr old 1/4 Clydesdale, his name

My 10 yr old RPSI Warmblood Mare Dolly’s song changes depending on if shes in heat or not… but beautiful disaster by 311 and lmfao’s sexxy and I know it. Shes a gorgeous moving mare, especially when shes hot and spooky!
My horse Ledo’s theme song is “I’m Sexy and I know It”. We’ve changed some of the lyrics around for him, though; As I walk in the barn, this is what I see, all the mares stop and they’re staring at me.
He’s very into himself : )
My horse Simon is a KY bred TB who wasn’t fast enough to make it to the big leagues of racing and “run for the roses”. However, his TB breeding has given him the heart, athleticism, and work-ethic that has allowed him to join in on a different kind of “dance”: dressage. Simon’s song is “Run For the Roses” by Dan Fogelberg. It describes him perfectly. 🙂
My 15.3hh QH, Mojo, has a very curious and forward personality – he’s always got his own agenda, so my trainer and I decided his theme songs are “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake and “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
I can’t believe I’m about to admit this. When I was 13, I had an OTTB that my parents bought muddy out of a field. She’d been rather neglected to that point, and a year later we were sweeping Pony Club Rally awards. My theme song for her, in all it’s millenial teeny bopper glory, became “As Long As You Love Me” by the Backstreet Boys. “I don’t care who you are, where you’re from, what you did, as long as you love me.” Yes, ours was the world’s worst love song.
Pretty sure it would still make me weepy if I heard it now.
My 16.1 hh Westphalen mare passed after a battle with Cushings and the the song “Over You” by Miranda Lambert always reminds me of her
My daughter’s pony is 12.1hh (mare) and her theme song is “She’s so mean” by Matchbox Twenty….she has a “Frienemy” relationship with my other daughter’s pony who is a gelding….he cannot “live with or without” her!!
Iggy loves anything by Johnny Cash — Folsom Prison Blues has the rhythm I need to keep pace on our hunter courses, so we think of that when we compete 🙂
My all-around fun time ride is a 14 year old 13.2hh bay tobiano American Paint Pony mare. She’s very hot and extrememly forward, and is shaping up to be a brilliant little eventer. Her theme music is DEFINITELY the Benny Hill theme song 😀
My boy Montego Bay is a 15.2 bay Appendix. He is quite the “player” so his theme song is Cowboy Casanova. It fits his personality perfectly 🙂

My of the track TB mare named Foolish Luck(Emma) is super high strung, wild in warm up makes nasty faces at everyone that passes and then her jumper rounds are controlled, fast, fun, and sporty, “Barracuda” by Heart is her song now. She even won the class when they played it for her.
My Horse is a 17.1h TB gelding. He shows in the Hunters. His song is Famous Last Words by My Chemical Romance because this is his showname. Yes he was named after a song (:
My horse, Boru, is a 17.1h Irish Sport Horse who has a lot of presence so his song is: Don’t ya wish your horse was hot like mine!

My mare’s song right now would have to be “Little Girls” from the musical “Annie.” She had her first foal 3 months ago, and while she was completely enamored with her filly at the time, now she is just ready for this whole motherhood thing to be OVER. ROFL!!!
