“I have an 8-year-old TB gelding with suspected inflammatory bowel disease. He falls ill every winter when the grass disappears, despite all of the dietary management and supplementation that I do. “I am so grateful to KPP for donating the Contribute to Fly's daily routine. Fly, although blanketed through the winter, tends to drop weight and muscle tone. “My daughter's horse Duke is a 27 yr old Quarter Horse gelding. He is still showing over fences (lower divisions now) and still very sound! We use Joint Armor and Summer Games (and Plus) with him. He especially likes the Joint Armor as it is concentrated enough so that he eats it. He doesn't get much grain and the other joint supplements we tried used larger quantities. “My horse is a 13yo OTTB named Barney. He's dark bay and 16.2 hands. We do Training level eventing and are slowly making the move to Preliminary. This year we were 7th in the training level 3-day event at Southern Eighths in South Carolina. The KPP supplements I use are Neigh-Lox and Summer Games Electrolyte. “Elliot, lovingly called Smellie, is an 8-year-old track horse. His first two races were at Churchill Downs and he had a yearling reserve price of $75,000. Needless to say, he was a terrible race horse—started strong then all but gave up midway through. He ran a total of six times before ending up in a sale in Louisiana. “I want to say thank you for all you have taught me and for the opportunity to feed and represent KPP supplements. I finished again this year but on the true Tevis Cup course in eighteenth place on my 12-year-old paint mare. "Flash is a 26-year-old Arabian that is owned and loved by the 4-H Horse Program in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, Flash has had problems with dehydration and impaction colic in the past. "Hereʼs the bottom line about horses (well, one of the bottom lines anyway!). Horses need a lot of stuff and sometimes that stuff can be expensive!!
